Design the Ultimate Storage Insert for Any Drawer in Minutes!

Hey everyone! Are you afraid to open that drawer? You know the one—the kitchen drawer where spatulas get tangled, the workshop drawer where drill bits vanish, or the desk drawer that’s just a jumble of pens and paperclips.

We all have one (or three). Store-bought modular bins never fit quite right, leaving awkward gaps that just collect more junk. It’s time to take control of the chaos!

Introducing our Custom Drawer Organizer Builder! This tool is designed to help you turn that messy drawer into a perfectly ordered paradise.

Forget trying to “Tetris” together random plastic bins. Now, you can 3D print a single, unified insert designed specifically for your space and your stuff. No CAD skills needed—just measure, customize, and print!

Organizer Builder Features

Here is a peek at how flexible this new tool is:

Ultimate Layout Control
Every drawer is different, and so is the stuff inside it! Our builder lets you define the exact overall width, depth, and height of your insert so it fits snugly in your drawer. Then, you have total freedom to add rows and columns to create the perfect grid.

Sized for Your Stuff
You aren’t stuck with uniform little squares. Need a long, skinny slot for a ruler next to six tiny slots for SD cards? You got it. You can adjust the size of individual sections to accommodate bulky tools alongside tiny fasteners. It’s perfect for organizing everything from wrenches to makeup!

Jumpstart with Presets!
Not sure where to start? We’ve included handy one-click presets for common messy areas!

  • Silverware Tray: A classic layout for forks, knives, and spoons.

  • Desk Drawer: Perfect for pens, post-its, and USB drives.

  • Tool Bits: A high-density grid for organizing hex bits and small drivers. Load a preset and print it as-is, or use it as a starting point and tweak it to perfection!

Instant STL Export
Just like all our tools, once you have your perfect grid designed, just hit export. You’ll get a clean, ready-to-print STL file. Depending on the size of your drawer, you can print it in one piece on a large printer (like a K1 Max or Neptune 4 Plus) or easily split it in your slicer for smaller beds like an Ender 3.

Best Filament for Drawer Organizers

Determining what filament to use on your builds may or may not play into your decisions.  For many of you, myself included, PLA is a standard go to.  It’s easy to print, sticks to the printer bed really well and is usually more than sufficient.  Depending on what you are going to use the drawer organizer for, a good solid PLA may be enough.  If your intending to beat it up a bit more, you may want to opt for an ABS to add some strength.  The organizer in the picture was printed in PLA, is plenty strong and is currently being used in my bathroom drawer.

Build Your Dream Drawer

Seriously, this is the fastest way to achieve “organization nirvana.” Stop digging for five minutes just to find a Phillips-head screwdriver. Fire up your 3D printer, design your custom insert, and enjoy the deep satisfaction of a perfectly organized life.
